Do I need to be a Christian or part of a church to have counselling?
No. You are welcome to have counselling with me regardless of your beliefs.
How many sessions can I have?
As many as you would like. You can have a one-off session or several.
Do you counsel international clients?
I’m afraid not. At this time, I can only counsel clients from UK.
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If you’re considering counselling, I invite you to have a free initial consultation where we can discuss what you’re looking for. I’ll explain how I work, and answer your questions. We will also look at availability to ensure we can meet at a convenient time for both of us.
What is the process of counselling?
During the initial consultation, I will talk you through the contract. Should you decide to proceed with counselling, I will then email you the contract and my counselling policy.
Once you return the form, we will book you in for your first session.
Can anyone have counselling?
No. The BACP have criteria for online counselling. For example, if you are significantly suicidal or seriously self-harming may require a face-to-face therapist. Additionally, those with certain learning difficulties or hard of hearing may not be suitable for online counselling.
How regularly do I have counselling?
It’s completely flexible. Some clients have counselling every week, some fortnightly or monthly.
Is it confidential?
Yes absolutely. Unless there are grounds to break confidentiality. For example, because of a safeguarding concern
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
How much does counselling cost?
An individual session is £50 Details of how to pay are on the contract and in the counselling policy.
Do you counsel couples and families?
No. I only counsel adults, both men and women. I would not be able to counsel your spouse or other family members.
Are you qualified?
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor, registered by the BACP.
